Willow House - With the unique touch of circular hole roof and combined with the vegetation, this house has a willow the owl house feel. Singapore base architect, Guz Architects has developed a contemporary house located in Singapore where gets tropical area and the sun always lights along years in this location.
This Singapore house built for a family who needs fresh air and wind experience. This house tries to take advantages of the blowing wind by doing the roof construction for allowing the rough wind flows inside. Almost of Guz Architects's creation places green rooftop, luxurious pool and wonderful garden. The unique glass pool with full of water decorates garden and able to be enjoyed from terrace. The Willow House also put them down to decorate exterior for supporting environment healthy. Sustainability for a long time house and the plants included maximally as possible constitute aspects that being a characteristic of the architect's design. Other houses also apply this concern as well as Rattan House that it applies special garden and environmentally friendly material, Tanga House that planting on rooftop and wonderful pool beautify the exterior also interior, Fish House that interior and exterior have adaptability to environment and Meera Sky Garden House that being inspirational house for green home design.

The Willow House in Singapore by Guz Architects:

“We tried to take advantage of it’s hilltop position by opening up the building plan to make the most of the prevailing breezes and of what little wind there is in Singapore.
Orientation and massing of the house was instrumental in encouraging those breezes.
We always wanted this to be a home with soul, so designing spaces where a family could live together and interact was always part of the brief, and hopefully the design reflects this. We have tried to draw nature in as much as we can in the relatively dense urban environment of Singapore.”

Rattan House in Singapore by Guz Architects, this house built to attract fresh experience for living and can be used as an example or idea of an environmentally friendly home inspiration. Simple application of innovation, such as the implementing of passive energy, is very useful for the sake of convenience. In my opinion, Guz Architects has always designed inspirational homes, absolutely environmentally friendly homes design that you can see the tag of Guz Architects. Rattan House in Singapore by Guz Architects:

“The rattan house was conceived to make the most of what is a relatively condensed site in Singapore’s “good class bungalow” district; with buildings all around and little breeze. The L-shaped plan was designed to make the most of the views and funnel the breezes throughout the house.Within this we tried to create gardens and green areas to not only passively cool the house, but also to provide greenery and a sense of space which all occupants could share. The house was completed on a very low budget (for Singapore) of less than S$1m.Rattan screens were used along the main entrance hall of the house to provide privacy, yet still allow the air to flow through.”

New Forest House by PAD studio:

The New Forest House is set within a stunning 18.5 acre plot, located adjacent to ancient woodland and heath, in the New Forest National Park. The new building has been carefully conceived in order that the proposals minimise the impact on the site and its sensitive surroundings.
The main house and guest annexe are orientated to maximise solar gain and utilise renewable technologies for heating and hot water requirements. The materials used throughout are sustainable, durable and locally sourced where possible in harmony with the site and its surroundings.
New Forest House by PAD studio
The architectural objective has been to create a simple building whose form, scale materials and detail reinforce the character, distinctiveness and history of the site locally and within the wider context of the New Forest.
New Forest House by PAD studio
The architectural concept was straightforward: Two simple volumetric forms located along a spine wall. Upon arrival the wall screens distant views to the South focusing attention upon the ancient beech trees to the North. Stepping through a gap in the wall the experience changes as the site gradually unfolds and the landscape beyond is revealed.

On a practical level the wall acts as a retainer for the earth that was excavated to form the natural swimming pond and basement, and as thermal mass to regulate fluctuations in temperature. The wall bears the imprint of local Douglas Fir taken from the wood adjacent to the site, and is a palimpsest rewriting of the history of the site. The external landscape infuses this house as the boundary between the two is blurred.
